Who is “Redbone”

Revival - restoration of force, validity, or popularity to something that has lapsed or been forgotten.

This Revival is about finding the way back to something lost some time ago. People ask where the name came from, and the real answer has a lot less to do with music, and more with a life itself.

My name is Jermaine Roberts. You can call me “Redbone”. For as long as I can remember I’ve been a storyteller. Music is just my favorite way to do it.

Why should I listen to music written by AI?

You shouldn’t. You should listen to music, particularly stories, written by humans. AI performing music isn’t a problem. AI creating music is. AI can never create soul you can feel. But it also can’t remove it.

Is this your music or did AI make it?

Speaking for myself, I write all lyrics and melodies. When possible I play all musical parts and sing vocals. Then, rather than spending thousands of dollars in a studio, I use AI to master and produce the track.

What part did you create versus AI created?

Always the lyrics and melodies at a minimum.

Are these real stories or made up?

Some stories are a combination of live stories, but they are all 100% authentic experiences of mine.

Can you actually sing or play?

Yes. I have been singing and playing music since I was 4 years old. Can play just about every conventional instrument and I am a classically trained vocalist.

Why use AI instead of hiring musicians?

Cost. Time. And Patience.

What makes your music different from thousands of other AI music creators?

A level of creativity that only comes from a lifetime of musical involvement, formal training, a thorough understanding of both music theory and AI function, and being a highly functional introvert with an undercurrent of Dyslexia and a taste for psychedelics.

Can you perform these songs live?

Absolutely. In fact, I played most of the parts and sang all vocals for the majority of the songs long before AI was even a thing.
